This month we are featuring Emma and Andy’s wedding at the gorgeous Alnwick Gardens photographed by Chris Randle Photography, Chris kindly sent us loads of amazing photos from Emma and Andy’s wonderful (and wet!) August wedding.
Loads of details in the wedding reflected Emma and Andy as a couple, which we loved and we always encourage couples to combine their tastes and ideas for their wedding day. The colour scheme for the wedding was emerald green (to match with Emma’s engagement ring) with pink and ivory to create a very gardeny, rustic look as lets face it they were getting married in a garden, until it decided to pour it down with rain the day before and the day of their wedding!
Emma had always planned on getting married outside in the garden under our archway dressed with flowers, Emma’s Mum has an archway in her garden and Emma really wanted to recreate this idea. Emma is originally from Liverpool so it was as if she was bringing some of her Liverpool roots into their Northumberland wedding by using an archway.
Due to the rain the ceremony was held in the Pavilion with the archway framing the couple as they said their vows. Once the ceremony was finished the room was then rearranged for the reception meal with the archway being used behind the top table. The guest tables all had log slices with various jars and bottles of flowers in the centre with each table named as a year that Emma and Andy had been together with a photo of the two of them (we loved this idea!).
Emma was not only the Bride but also the cake lady! She asked us to add flowers to the cake which was finished with a ‘Mr and Mrs Craig’ topper, it really did look gorgeous.
Everything about the wedding tied together perfectly with the colour scheme and overall theme. It really did seem to be the perfect day for the perfect pair, even the rain couldn’t spoil it.
