She said YES! … and then got so wrapped up in planning her wedding that not even her fiancé got to see her for the next six months. Ah, the usual scenario, isn’t it? Well, more or less.
We understand how organizing a wedding can be intense and stressful, but we also understand you want the best for your wonderful day; that being said, we’re here to give you a few destination options to explore and potentially add to your venues list. We’ve carefully selected all of them, and we do feel choosing any of them will add that special flair to your already big day.
Although choosing just a few of all the breathtaking venues worldwide was exceptionally hard, we had to pick those we were most blown away by. So, dear future brides (and grooms), we give you our top four venues:
Oberoi Udaivilas – Udaipur, India
Oberoi Udaivilas is what you may refer to as a true gem of the East. The 5-star hotel has incredible service, unbelievably lavish suites, and a view to die for. Showered with 450 hand-stone columns, domes of gold and white marble, Oberoi Udaivilas’ suites are heaven on Earth. Your view will be overlooking the picturesque Lake Pichola, and – if you happen to be in the mood for sightseeing – you’ll have a private boat to take you across the lake. The cost is about $8,000 per night which is pretty steep but – if your budget allows it, throw a wedding of your dreams in this dreamlike resort!
Belmond Hotel Caruso – Ravello, Italy
When in doubt, go to Italy to get married! Belmond Hotel Caruso is an 11th-century palace set on a cliff, overlooking Italy’s magnificent Amalfi Coast. The hotel is a real paradise for the in-loves and everyone else who wants to treat themselves to an overwhelming, luxurious experience.
Staying here, you’ll enjoy Neapolitan style bedrooms, marble bathrooms, frescoed ceilings, terraces, private gardens, and a 900-year-old Duomo of Ravello (and that’s just a few of the thrills). A typical wedding at Belmond starts with a ballroom reception, a poolside ceremony, and a four-course dinner. For those couples who opt for the “ultimate takeover” package, they’ll get all 50 rooms and suites for their wedding parties to occupy and adore. You’ll pay around $1,850 USD per night, which is not too much given the service and gorgeousness you are getting.
Navarra Venues, Australia
For all the future brides who want to feel like royalty for the day, Navarra Venues are the venue to book. You must have heard of Le Montage, Curzon Hall, Oatlands House and Conca D’oro, all of which are Navarra Venues’ pride and joy. The company has been in the business for over 40 years, and they know exactly what the wedding parties want, so they make sure they get it. This stunning Australian spot can hold from 10 and up to 2500 guests, and provides you with a personal Navarra Venues’ Event Coordinator that works beside you to help deliver a tailor-made service that will blow your guests’ minds. Saying your wedding vows surrounded by a sophisticated and glamorous ambiance and service will add a little bit of that alluring, bourgeois refinement we all need in our lives from time to time. And, if you need your wedding specialized in any way, the venue creatives will offer anything from Opulent Weddings, Garden Ceremonies, Bespoke Soirees, Kosher Weddings and Cultural Celebrations to Authentic Chinese Banquets with Premium Zilver Catering and pretty much anything else you may want. We’ll tell you this – there isn’t a wedding venue in Sydney as lavish and fabulous as Navarra Venues, which makes it a destination worth the trip to the Land Down Under.
New York Public Library – Manhattan, New York
If you are a fan of Sex and the City, then you know why NY Public Library became the spot to get married at in New York! If you are a romantic like Carrie Bradshaw, get married in this historic building, hosting all the love stories and poems ever written. Although the venue is packed with bookings, if you are willing to wait and book way in advance, you’ll love saying your “I do” here. Celebrations usually occur in Astor Hall or Celeste Bartos Forum, both of which can be rented at the same time. A professional wedding planner is required to make a booking and you are allowed a maximum of 450 guests. Oh, and – the starting price is $50,000. Woah!
