Move over flowers it’s all about the foliage! With green being one of the top ten pantone colours for 2017 there has been a real increase in the popularity of wedding bouquets incorporating foliage, maybe a few stems of eucalyptus with other flowers or a full on foliage fest. Some of our very on trend Brides have already chosen to follow this popular trend.
The lovely Jade asked us for a ‘boho’ bouquet, full of foliage and some white flowers, as you can see this is exactly what she got, we used white delphiniums, white ranunculus and lots of mixed foliage including eucalyptus, asparagus and cocculus to create her bouquet which also included lots of succulents. Succulents are the perfect way to add interest to your bouquet, lots of green-grey shades in various textures. The flowers were expertly photographed by Alexa Penberthy Photography, Jade’s wedding wowed everyone at Love My Dress and was featured on their blog on 4th October 2016.
Another of our 2016 Brides Laura chose a mix of white roses and spray roses with lots of olive branches and mixed eucalyptus, she loved foliage so much that she had a garland of mixed eucalyptus and olive branches along her top table which suited her venue Newton Hall perfectly. Olive is a symbol of peace and has been worn by Brides on their wedding days for centuries so by no means is this a new trend just a modern take on a tradition. Laura’s wedding was perfectly captured by LSM Photography.
There are many varieties of foliage available all with different characteristics which means whatever the style of wedding and bouquet you are having there is a foliage perfect for you.
