Add some colour to it! Bright and sunny flowers perfect for Spring and Summer weddings
Over the past few weeks a lot of the wedding flowers we have been creating have used bold bright colours, including lots of yellow! This has been a lovely change for us moving away from the ever popular white, blush and green trends. Sunflowers, daffodils, tulips and roses have all been popular blooms with our Brides.
With Spring being in full swing and summer on the horizon we take a look back at one of our brightest weddings from last year Ashley and Dan’s lovely colourful High House Farm Brewery wedding. In keeping with the venue Ashley and Dan wanted a really relaxed look and feel for their wedding so they opted for an informal look for their flowers.
After having looked at various Pinterest photos Ashley discovered a love for bright yellow sunflowers solidago and gypsophilia.
To match with the blush pink Bridesmaid dress we suggested using some pretty fragrant pink freesia for the hand tied bouquets along with some white antirrhinum, yellow solidago, yellow sunflowers and gypsophilia wrapped in hessian. Ashley also chose to wear some gypsophilia in her hair. The flower girl wore a sunflower and gypshopilia wrist corsage tied with lace.
For the buttonholes Ashley and Dan didn’t want a traditional rose or carnation instead they opted for gypsophilia and solidago wrapped in twine to compliment the bouquets and overall relaxed feel of the wedding.
